As an update to this, we now have native support for reading 23andMe files in GenomeBrowse!

Check out this YouTube video created by an avid GenomeBrowse user walking you through the process:

Hi Mary,

23andMe uses a special format that is not widely supported in the bioinformatics community. You can however use this tool https://github.com/arrogantrobot/23an... to convert your 23andMe data to a VCF file which can be imported and viewed in GenomeBrowse. Then simply drag your VCF into the GenomeBrowse window. For more information about importing and converting VCFs for use in GenomeBrowse, please see this section of our manual -- http://doc.goldenhelix.com/GenomeBrow...sourcewizard.html#converting-a-vcf-file

Thanks!
