Add GENCODE annotations?

Hi, it would be excellent if the latest GENCODE gene annotations were available as a standard Annotations datasource. We use them a lot to predict the impact of "intergenic" variants, which often overlap novel long noncoding RNA genes, pseudogenes or predicted microRNA's. cheers, Mark

Hi Mark,

Thank you for your request.

The GENECODE database is on our list of annotations to be made available through GenomeBrowse. We are in the process of updating some back-end functionality for the way we read and write our annotation sources and once that is finished we will begin to curate the data sources on our list.

We hope to have the new sources available by the beginning of January. I will let you know as soon as they become available.

Let me know if you have any further questions or requests.

Thanks, Jami...
