Why golden helix browser can not load my bam file of my genome? But I can load my bam file with IGV browser or bam viewer. I also can load the bam file of my mother's genome with golden helix.

Golden Helix says it can not read the bim file. Why?

I can use IGV to see my bam file and I have made a session. I tried to import this session into golden helix, but again golden helix can not read the bim file.

Hi Christian,

I am sorry you are having issues loading your BAM files into GenomeBrowse.

Can you provide a screenshot of the exact error you are receiving when loading your file? GenomeBrowse has some specific requirements that are necessary to visualize BAM data, in particular a matching reference sequence must be identified for coverage to be computed. To match to a reference sequence the chromosome names and lengths must match exactly to what is reported in the header for the BAM file.

Please let me know how I can be of further assistance.

Thanks, Jami...
