HI, we are currently analyzing RNAseq data mapped to the recently released rat genome (build 5.1, released in July of 2012). The current annotation for the rat within the browser doesn't work with our data. Are there plans in the near future to release an updated rat annotation?

I wanted to let you know that we have finished curating the March 2012 RGSC_5 build for the rat genome. You can download the reference sequence along with two gene tracks for the build from the Annotations tab of the Add dialog.

Thank you for your question. I have added the most recent rat build (v5.1) to our list of genomes to be updated. It should be available in GenomeBrowse in the next couple of weeks.
